Jeff E. Janca

Attorney

Jeff E. Janca graduated from the University of Minnesota Morris with a BS in Biology and a BS in Psychology in 2005. He then moved to Montana to work with severely emotionally disturbed youth at Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch while pursuing and completing his Masters of Science in Psychology at Montana State University Billings in 2007. He attended the University of North Dakota School of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctor in 2018, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and was inducted into the Order of the Coif.

Jeff was admitted into the State Bar in 2018 and has been practicing ever since that time. While at UND School of Law, Jeff also obtained his Indian Law Certification. Jeff’s practice areas include: estate planning, estate contest litigation, trust litigation, real estate litigation and transactional work, easement law, and corporate/partnership law.

Prior to attending law school, Jeff worked extensively in the mental health and corrections fields. Jeff also has experience as a licensed addictions counselor and worked with chemically dependent youth and adults prior to turning his attention to the law in 2015.

Jeff is originally from the Chicagoland area; he was born and raised in Lyons, Illinois. He and his family have called Billings home since 2005; he is a hockey enthusiast and plays on various Billings teams throughout the winter. Jeff also plays softball in the summer and enjoys the outdoors and being on the water in the summer.
